How it works

We’ve set everything up to get you get the freshest greens, as soon as possible.  

Ordering

Growing

All of our greens are grown to order, which takes 6 to 10 days depending on the variety. We always grow a little bit extra, so there’s a chance we can get your first order to you right away.

The greens are planted on a schedule so they’re ready for harvest the day they’re delivered. Microgreens and other vegetables have their highest nutrient levels as soon as they’re harvested, and they drop off after that. It’s another reason we like to do weekly deliveries instead of a larger order every 2 weeks. It’s more work on our end, but you get fresher greens.

Harvest & Package

Your greens will be harvested the day they’re delivered. We package them in plant-based recyclable and compostable packaging. We’ve also upgraded to vinyl stickers that are easy to remove. Using the wrong stickers can actually cause recyclables to be rejected at the city of Calgary’s recycling facilities, they can be too difficult to remove.

So please remove your stickers before you recycle.

Delivery

We’ll send you a text message the night before to remind you we’re coming tomorrow. We’ll also remind you to put a cooler outside with an ice pack to keep the greens safe from hot weather or freezing if you’re not going to be home all day.

We’re doing weekly delivery, with no minimum order sizes for January and February 2021.

Our delivery window is 9 am – 6 pm, but let us know what works for you, and we’ll see what we can do.

Eat Them!

Microgreens are a versatile and convenient way to eat healthier. They’re high in nutrients and vitamins and you can add them to most things you eat. Put them on your pizza, in a sandwich or as a quick side to a hot dish. You can munch on them as a snack too.
